Pre/Aft purchase SURVEY

Before buying or selling a vessel, we strongly recommend a Pre/Post-Purchase Survey as it is the most comprehensive inspection.

This in-depth assessment includes a detailed evaluation of the vessel’s overall condition, covering electrical systems, structural integrity, propulsion, plumbing, equipment, accessories, aesthetics, and general maintenance. When possible, a sea trial is conducted to analyze real-time performance, including engine behavior and propulsion efficiency.

This survey gives buyers and sellers a clear, expert-backed understanding of the vessel’s true condition—helping you make informed purchase decisions.

Condition, Value & Insurance SURVEY

This type of survey is commonly requested by insurance companies, leasing firms, banks, and investment funds to evaluate a vessel’s condition and market value.

The primary goal is to assess the vessel as a financial asset—focusing on its current state, structural integrity, and safety. These inspections are typically performed in port or marina, without a sea trial.

The final report provides an expert opinion on the vessel’s seaworthiness and overall condition, supporting underwriting decisions, financing, or insurance coverage.

Damage SURVEY

In the event of grounding, collision, or any other type of damage, a Damage Survey may be requested by the vessel owner, insurance company, or legal representative.

This inspection focuses on assessing the extent of the damage, identifying the cause, and evaluating the estimated cost of repairs. Whether used for internal documentation or as part of an insurance claim or dispute, the survey provides an expert, unbiased analysis of the incident and its financial impact.

Hull SURVEY

A Hull Survey is ideal when a full vessel inspection is not required. It can be performed in-water for routine checks—such as after a charter or minor incidents like catching mooring lines—or on land for more detailed analysis.

For accurate moisture testing, the vessel should remain out of the water for at least two days. Inspections are carried out using a professional moisture meter to detect any water ingress, delamination, or structural concerns.

This survey provides valuable insight into the hull's condition and is especially useful for ongoing maintenance or post-incident evaluations.

Delivery SURVEY

A Delivery Survey is conducted to verify that a new or used vessel meets the agreed terms outlined in the sales or charter contract. This inspection ensures the vessel’s condition and documentation are in full compliance with the agreement.

Our surveyor performs a thorough check of the vessel’s systems, equipment, and paperwork, followed by the preparation of a formal delivery protocol. This process provides both parties with a clear, documented handover.

Rigging SURVEY

A Rigging Survey focuses on the inspection of all critical components related to the vessel's rigging system. This includes the mast, spreaders, standing rigging, terminals, rigging screws, shrouds, and chain plates.

Our detailed evaluation ensures the structural integrity and safety of the rigging—essential for both cruising and racing vessels. Regular rigging inspections help prevent failure and are often required for insurance or charter compliance.

Oil sample SURVEY

While surveyors are not engine mechanics and cannot inspect internal engine components directly, an oil analysis can provide valuable insight into the engine’s internal condition.

By testing engine and transmission oil, we can detect signs of wear, contamination, or potential mechanical issues. For a more comprehensive evaluation, owners may also request a mechanic service to perform advanced diagnostics via CPU connection or to test additional systems like the generator, steering, or transmission.

Combining oil analysis with a certified mechanical inspection offers the most accurate assessment of the engine’s health.

Captain in CONSTRUCTION

Our Captain in Construction service ensures expert oversight throughout the entire vessel build process—from keel laying to final delivery. Acting as an experienced representative, the surveyor monitors each stage of construction to identify and report any errors or defects early on.

We help correct issues during production—avoiding costly delays, post-delivery repairs, or compliance problems. This service ensures a smooth handover upon completion for the future owners.
